People of Monroe County

THE PROJECT

The People of Monroe County project is the realization of a longstanding goal to highlight local conservation efforts across the county. Beginning in the Summer of 2018, the Monroe County SWCD began interviewing and recording the stories of local conservationists to share with the public. The purpose of the project is to connect county residents and people around the world with the conservation ethic of Monroe County and further awareness of agricultural life in the region.

On the first of every month, the District will be releasing a new video documenting conservation practices, life in agriculture, and information about Monroe County's efforts to address local natural resource concerns .
