Local Working GroupMonroe County SWCD holds a local working group meeting annually. The 2025 meeting will be held on September 10 at 6:00pm immediately prior to the regular scheduled board meeting. At this meeting we will discuss the results of the survey and any adjustments for the USDA-NRCS portion.
The purpose of the local working group is to gather the conservation concerns of the community from partner agencies, landowners and conservation organizations. This information is then used by the local SWCD Board and Staff to look at concerns they can address as well as it is used by our USDA-NRCS partners for program ranking.
